Transportation—MVEP does not provide transportation for students. It is the responsibility of parents to get their children to class each day. Make every effort to drop off or pick up your child within 10 minutes of the beginning or end of the entire school day. Please watch carefully for children when entering the parking lot, drive slowly, and follow a counter-clockwise pattern.
Drop off—Drop off your child at the front door to avoid the unsafe practice of children running across the parking lot. Do not stop your vehicle and block traffic by dropping off your child on the east side of the building. Parents are expected to see that their children get into the building, but you do not need to walk your child to class; staff will help students arrive at the correct place. Students may head straight for class without checking in at the office.
Pickup—At the end of the day, students wait for rides at the front of the building, and staff facilitate students getting picked up safely and quickly.
Dismissal for Track 1—Monday @ 1:45 PM, Wednesday @ 11:15 AM
Dismissal for Track 2—Friday @ 2:45 PM
Each class has a designated spot at the entrance doors where their teacher stays with them until you arrive. MVEP staff may not release a student to a parked car in the lot. If you park your car and walk over to pick up your child, please make sure your teacher knows that you have your child.
The loading zone consists of the first 2 cars in line. Students are helped into cars by MVEP staff members. Although we would love to chat with our families, consider this a “load-and-go” zone in order to keep cars moving efficiently.
Please use designated parking spaces to park your car. Avoid parking/stopping your car along the curb west of the loading zone.
The safety of your child is of primary importance during pickup time. Please drive slowly through the pickup lane and follow the guidelines below for a smooth transition. Thank you for your cooperation!
